MONASTERY OF THE SEVEN BROTHERS
A short walk from Buçak village into the Latmos Mountains is the Monastery of the Seven Brothers with a wonderful view over the lake. The Monastery was established by monks in the 7th century AD. There is a cave with frescos and another with prehistoric stone paintings. On the trail you can often find porcupine spines.

Driving approx 40 min, Hiking approx 2 h

TWINISLANDS
We cross to the other side of the lake by boat. There are ruins of defence monasteries on both islands. The bigger island is connected to the shore by a sandy dune. You can swim here. Following an ancient street, hike to Herakleia and return to our hotel by boat. You can also visit Herakleia.

SAMSUNDAĞ NATIONAL PARK
The Samsundaği National Park is known for its Mediterranean primeval forests. Hike through a canyon to a spring with cold, fresh water where you can enjoy a swim. Or you could take the longer trek from Doganbey village over the hill to the National Park. If you are lucky you may see wild horses.
